LinkedIn launched a new feature called “Open for Business” and it may be the most exciting feature for freelancers and small business owners to date!
Open For Business allows service-based freelancers and small business owners to “network and connect with members looking for the services they offer, and it allows service providers to reach potential clients”. In other words, it is a great feature if you want to have potential clients knocking on your digital door on LinkedIn…

- Go to your LinkedIn profile on your desktop or mobile app.
- Click “Add services you offer” in your Introduction section (below your profile picture)— note: this feature is being gradually rolled out to all LinkedIn members and will be widely available soon.
- Fill out the form with your business information and services. You can even add a location or highlight that you’re open to work remotely!
- Add it to your profile to showcase your services and increase your chances of being found by potential clients.
